Burak Halil Karanfil is a Berlin-based lawyer covering legal and tax. He is the founder of Fidoris.
He is a Solicitor (Ireland), registered with the Rechtsanwaltskammer Berlin (Berlin Bar Association) as an Established European Lawyer under EuRAG. He is also admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales (non-practising) and as an Avukat at the Bursa Bar Association, Turkey.
He completed his legal education at Queen Mary University of London, graduating with an LLB in 2020 and an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution in 2021. Queen Mary's School of International Arbitration is one of the world's leading academic centres in international arbitration.
Earlier in his career he worked on international arbitration proceedings in the construction, infrastructure, and investment treaty sectors. Before founding Fidoris, he spent over two years at a Berlin-based tax advisory practice, gaining hands-on experience across the full range of German tax compliance and advisory work. He has worked in private client and commercial practice in London and Turkey.
He advises in English, German, and Turkish directly, without interpretation. Legal advice is only as good as its communication, and something is always lost in relay. Working across three languages at professional level means clients receive the same quality of advice regardless of the language they work in.
He is based in Berlin, advising businesses, entrepreneurs, and private individuals across jurisdictions, directly and in depth.
