Arbitration & Dispute Resolution

Disputes handled from the inside out

Commercial disputes are expensive, disruptive, and rarely resolved quickly. The quality of legal representation at every stage — from how a dispute resolution clause is drafted, to how a case is built, to how an award is enforced — makes a material difference to the outcome. Fidoris approaches arbitration as a specialism, not a general service.

Our principal holds an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London — one of the world's foremost institutions for arbitration education and scholarship — and brings direct advisory experience across a range of commercial and investment disputes to every mandate.

Commercial arbitration

We advise and represent clients across the full lifecycle of commercial arbitration proceedings: drafting effective dispute resolution clauses, managing pre-arbitration strategy, preparing and filing submissions, and handling the procedural dimensions of proceedings under institutional rules including DIS (Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit), ICC, and LCIA. For domestic German disputes, we also advise on mediation and other structured ADR processes.

Investment treaty and multi-party disputes

We have experience advising on investment treaty arbitration involving state parties, multi-party construction and infrastructure disputes, and proceedings before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). For complex disputes requiring a working understanding of both common law and civil law frameworks, our dual-system grounding provides a genuine advantage.

Enforcement and recognition

Obtaining an award is only half the battle. We advise on the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in Germany under the New York Convention and German arbitration law (§§ 1060 ff. ZPO), as well as on resisting enforcement of foreign awards on available grounds.

Who this is for

Businesses involved in commercial disputes under German or international law. Companies seeking to draft or review dispute resolution clauses. Parties needing to enforce or resist arbitral awards in Germany. Advised in English, German, or Turkish.
